Delete Account
1. By email
Email us from the address linked to your account when possible:
Subject line: “Scratchy Us account deletion request”. Include the email you used to sign in, your display name, and your Firebase UID if you know it. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
2. What is removed
After you delete your account in the app — or we verify an email request — we remove the login from that profile, set the display name to “Deleted user”, and drop the avatar. Push tokens for this login are deleted. You can create a new account later with the same Google, Apple, or email sign-in.
Your partner keeps the shared map and memories. Your name on those memories becomes “Deleted user”. New countries will not open, because both of you must scratch.
Diagnostic records already sent to Firebase or Mixpanel (for example a crash log or analytics event) may remain for the provider’s normal retention window. Infrastructure logs may be kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. In the app
In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. Confirm the dialog. You are signed out immediately. Email is still accepted if you cannot open the app.
